The Herbs of Avalon: Morgana's Materia Medica
Nine Moons of immersion in the ancient arts of Herbal Medicine and Magic.
Empower yourself with the medicine and magic of Herbalism...because the scientific and the sacred don't have to be separate.
Will you take your place among the 2024 circle of Herbalists?
Let's get down to the nitty-gritty! In each month of Herbs of Avalon, you'll receive:
A full-length downloadable/printable guidebook of our "core lesson" covering that month's Materia Medica with full-color photos of the plants, as well as any accompanying medicine-making projects
A live meeting via Zoom to go over the core lesson with time for medicine-making demos and Q&A (approx. 75-90 min in length)
A secondary downloadable guidebook covering any or all of the following: plant spirit attunement/meditation, rituals, "Green Witchcraft", additional medicine-making and recipe ideas, Avalonian lore & spirituality, the sacred landscape of Avalon, and more
In addition, most months will include a SECOND live meeting to come together in circle to honor the spiritual/magical side of Herbcraft. We'll also have TONS of bonus material at the end of each chapter, AND...
You'll be invited to our SECRET "Herbs of Avalon" Facebook group where we can chat, bounce ideas off one another, and support each other on this journey!
...because my Herbs of Avalon students deserve some special treats!
After the first month of classes, you will receive an exclusive discount code that can be used through the end of the course (mid-November)! This discount can be applied to anything on the site, including online tarot readings and Herbalist Consultations.
Twice during our nine months together - once halfway through the course, and once upon completion of the course, I will set up a one-to-one session for you and I to brainstorm what the best "next steps" for you are - whether that means working toward and choosing a professional Herbalist training program, starting your own product line, creating remedies tailored to your family's needs, or building your garden - it's about leaving you with a clear direction and a sense of purpose and inspiration.
When paid in full after February 19th, the course is $679 (or, save 11% by catching the early-bird special and pay $600).
Yes! Contact me ASAP if you're interested in setting this up. Payment plans set up before February 19th are $73/mo ($657 total), after which payment plans are $81/mo ($729 total). There are also ways to break it up into 2, 3, or 4 bigger payments, so do let me know what you need and I will try and make it happen!
You have 30 days from the time of enrollment to decide whether or not this course will work for you. If you wish to leave the class during this timeframe, you will receive an 85% refund (processing fees, y'all). After that, it is expected that you will remain in the course for the remaining months, so please be sure you can commit to the full 9 months before joining.
This is one of the things I'm most excited about! Each month's module corresponds to a "sacred site" in Avalon/modern-day Glastonbury, which I will teach you a little bit about both in the printable lessons and in the live meetings each month. For example - in May, our sacred site is The Red Spring (aka Chalice Well) and our lesson is around Herbs for the Heart, Blood, and Womb. This helps deepen your understanding of the herbs, as well as to connect your practice with ancient sacred landscapes - and to see the sacred in the land where YOU live, too!
All class content (core and secondary lessons, plus any bonus material) for each month will load in the portal on the first Monday of each month. The live class that corresponds with each month's "core lesson" will be held via Zoom on the 2nd Monday of the month at 4pm EST. The secondary live class will be held alternating between a weeknight at 8pm EST and a Sunday afternoon time, allowing for those in different time zones and with daytime work schedules to attend more easily. All Zoom meetings will be recorded for those who cannot attend in real time.
No - however, SUPPLY KITS will be available for purchase at an additional fee after enrollment. These kits will include basic medicine making supplies such as tins for salves, beeswax, cocoa butter, cheesecloth, a few basic essential oils, seeds for planting, and 1oz pouches of SOME of the key herbs we're studying this year. Exact cost of these kits will be determined by current bulk pricing, but expect the total price to be somewhere in the vicinity of $130-$150.
The answer is YES! I adore working with beginners, and while there will be a lot of material covered, I believe fully that Herbcraft is accessible to anyone who has the desire to learn about it.
So glad you asked! The short answer is NO. I absolutely welcome and encourage folks of all spiritual paths to take this course. However, I will say that you can't be AGAINST these belief systems to take this course. I will be talking about plant spirit meditation, green witchcraft, tarot, Morgan LeFay (both as literary figure, archetype, and goddess), the sacred landscape of Avalon, and more! If that's not your spirituality, that's totally cool - many folks who are atheists or follow a different path see many of these ideas as archetypal/psychological anyway - and of course, anyone can feel closer to nature!

“Suzanne is one Bad-Ass Avalonian and Tea Herbalist! I first had the pleasure of meeting her in dance class many years ago. As funny as it may sound, when I saw the Vesica Pisces tattooed on her body I knew she would be a friend and Avalonian sister for life! Not only is she a wonderful dance instructor, but her love of Tea and her Herbal education is intense and driven from deep knowledge of herbs to pure love and divine bliss that she pours out in every cup! Anyone who seeks to learn from Suzanne - whether it is Herbalism or dance - will greatly benefit from her vast knowledge, love and dedication. I can’t recommend her enough! ”
Annwyn Avalon, Author, Water Priestess, and Avalonian Witch“Are you a Witch or magickal practitioner looking to deepen your understanding of herbalism? Are you someone deeply fascinated with the Isle of Avalon and the legends of King Arthur, specifically involving his half-sister Morgan le Fay? Does the Path of Avalon, or the Path of Green Magick, speak to you? Are you a lifelong gardener wanting to find new ways to use herbs? If you can answer yes to any of these questions, then Herbs of Avalon is the place for you to grow and learn as you come into the next phase of your life! I began this course as a self-proclaimed Faery Witch on the Path of Avalon, a Devotee of Morgan le Fay, and Enchantress of Avalon. I knew that my goal had always been to open my own metaphysical shop, and I had long been fascinated with the Green Path, but I was uncertain if selling my own herbal wares would be part of my professional path. I soon realized the answer was yes! Suzanne is one of the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic, supportive, and encouraging teachers I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. I have loved getting to know her and my fellow students, and am excited to get certified in herbalism thanks to my experience in this class. If you are sitting there wondering if you should do this, or if you think that you are not ready, just do it! Sign up for the class, there were people of all levels in my class, and we helped each other grow and develop. Suzanne is great at meeting her students where they are, as she teaches and encourages growth! You will not regret spending the money and time taking this class, as there is so much value in learning about herbalism, whether you want to learn more from a medicinal or magickal level. I truly hope that you find your way to the Holy Isle of Avalon by taking this class! ”
Maranda, 2023 Graduate and White Rose of Avalon Blog author“I didn't know "tea witch" was a thing, but it IS and Suzanne is the High Priestess of it. It's something of a running joke that whatever brew she sets in front of you will cause you to exclaim, "I didn't know what I was craving but THIS IS EXACTLY what I was craving!" There are people who have an encyclopedic knowledge of herbs and a healer's touch. There are people who have a gourmand's palette and a creative streak in the kitchen. Suzanne has BOTH and it is MAGIC. ”
